When I started my business in October 2023, I dove in with passion but no real clarity. I didn’t know who my customer was—and honestly, I didn’t even think of it as a brand yet. I just knew I had this burning desire to create, and if I didn’t start now, I might never do it.
Looking back, I focused too much on what I thought would sell and quickly got lost in the comparison game that so many new small business owners fall into. Especially on Etsy, where it felt like what I was offering was a dime a dozen. Just another shop selling sweatshirts. And that was never the vision.
I tried to think outside the box, but the moment I strayed from the “safe” route, imposter syndrome crept in. Who do you think you are? You’re not a social media guru. No one’s going to care about your vision. These were the thoughts looping in my head, holding me back from what I now call “the next level of small business mindset.”
For a while, I let that fear keep me playing small. I second-guessed my ideas. I stayed in the comfort zone. But eventually, I had to make a choice: keep going through the motions or start listening to what my heart was telling me.
So I took a step back and reminded myself what drew me to embroidery in the first place.
It definitely wasn’t because it was easy—I knew absolutely nothing about embroidery when I started (a story for another day). But I chose it for a reason. Embroidery is made to last. It doesn’t peel or fade like a heat-pressed vinyl shirt. It’s elevated. It’s timeless. It adds intention and a touch of luxury to even the most casual pieces.
That realization changed everything.
I knew if I wanted to build something that felt true to me, I had to stop chasing trends and start creating with purpose. That meant refining my aesthetic, narrowing my offerings, and building something much more intentional.
This rebrand is just the beginning—and I can’t wait to show you what’s next.
